I apologize for the lack of puppy updates on our blog! We most often post on our Facebook page so feel free to visit that if you would like to keep up with our litters and dogs. deercreekgoldens
We welcomed three litters this past Winter 2020 and had a busy but fulfilling and fun couple months with the 14 puppies out of three different litters. We are so glad the puppies are doing well with their new families and love to hear how they are doing!
We also had a busy last couple months after welcoming the arrival of Dani from Serbia and then moving into another breeding season. Lara was bred to Dani and we hope for another great litter with her due August 28th. Reservations are filled for her litter at this time. Indy was bred to Sangel and we hope to see if she is pregnant in the next week.
Dani has taken a little time to settle in which is understandable and is learning 'English' ways :) He loves going on walks and is a very sweet boy!
Our next litters after these two are not finalized at this point. We have had many inquires for our puppies and we apologize for all the families that would love to get on the list but there are no openings.
Our lives have become busier and we want to make sure we have the time to properly raise and socialize a litter before finalizing our future litter plans.
Our next possible plans may be to have another litter the beginning of next year or so - timing is very approximate but we will know more as time goes on. At this point the waiting list is not open yet but feel free to email us in a couple months and we may have finalized our plans by then.
Happy Summer everyone!
Surprise! :) I guess the ultrasound was wrong this time! Tasha has one beautiful puppy!
The story behind everything:
Tasha was bred with Willy an outside stud from Serbia and at about 30 days of her pregnancy we did an ultrasound and it revealed that there was 'no puppies'.
We were very disappointed but realized that sometimes things just don't work out.
We were not totally convinced though that there was none but decided to wait until she was farther along and see. About two weeks ago we were able to feel them moving and also heard a heartbeat! That was very exciting and shocking to say the least! :)
Tasha had her puppy/s late last night (6/13/18) after a long labor and not surprising as this puppy is HUGE! She weighs 1 lb 6.4 oz which is the biggest puppy we've had yet. She also had one male puppy but sadly, he was born dead. 😥
We are, however, so thankful and blessed that Tasha is doing well and her puppy; Ms. Lavender. As you can see on the photos she is very happy with her. 😊 At this time Ms. Lavender is reserved.
Storm and Jill's puppies arrived safely on June, 2, 2018! We are so thankful that they are safely here and doing well. There is 8 beautiful puppies; 5 girls and 3 boys. Puppies are now almost two weeks old and eyes are starting to open. They all are so beautiful with very nice dark pigment and blocky heads. Jill is a wonderful and devoted mother to her puppies. If you would like to keep updated with more photos etc. please visit our Facebook page. We more commonly post on there then on this blog. :) All puppies are reserved at this time. Thank you! https://www.facebook.com/deercreekgoldens/
And so the puppies had their first 'gruel' this afternoon! They were already sampling their mom's hard food from her bowl so decided it was time to introduce some softened food, along with yogurt, egg yolk, and probiotics. Usually we will add some evaporated milk and rice cereal, but these little guys were already eating some hard food so it wasn't really necessary. :) They sure loved it and some fell asleep in the bowl! 😊
They are such sweet puppies and it seems like the males are more on the outgoing/playful side, while some of the girls are more mellow but still playful. Its hard to tell at this age though, in just a few weeks their personalities will be much more definite. 😀 All puppies reserved.
Lots of pictures this time! We finally got individual photos of Gala's puppies! 😊 They are all doing wonderful! They are a playful litter of puppies and they sure are starting to show a little personality!
Here we will post updates of the puppies as well as upcoming litters.
